Jerry Springer On Fox NewsThis week, while all of you wonkturds were undoubtedly distracted by the Hoedown Showdown between the Corporation and the Confederacy (spoiler alert: the Confederacy won), you may have missed this little gem on the airwaves. Gretchen Carlson, who plays the lady newz character on Morning Horror Show Fox & Friends, is outraged about this Newsweek article entitled “How Obama’s Long Game Will Outsmart His Critics.” Hmm, seems like an interesting topic for discussion, right? So that is probably why the article itself is never once referenced by any of the Fox talkers. What Carlson & Friends are really dying to screech about is the headline for the article on the magazine cover:

Newsweek Cover: "Why Are Obama's Critics So Dumb?

None of these clowns has read the article, I’ll bet you $10,000. Now let’s watch as Carlson turns something she caught a glimpse of while in line at the Food Mart into a national story that is “stirring debate.”

It’s great to watch Jerry Springer keep his cool and refuse to be their Obama apologist. It’s even greater to see that schoolyard pout of Carlson’s turn to burning rage as Springer lays it out.

Almost equally interesting, though, is the weird turn the “panel” discussion takes at the end of the segment. Gretchen Carlson is livid about the mere suggestion that she is a partisan, and defends herself thusly:

By the way, Jerry, you obviously don’t watch our show, because you do not understand that there is a reason — I’ll speak for myself. I sit in the middle, as the independent on the panel. And, quite frankly, we present both sides of the story, and we leave it up to our viewers to decide where they fall.

Haha, let’s say we do accept this insane notion that she plays the role of the independent on Fox & Friends. Then who the hell is supposed to be the liberal??
