Last spring, if you were to do a quick Google search for phrases like, say, ”Courageous & Cut,” “Bold Budget, Bold Body,” “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Muscle” or “Hardbody on the Hill,” you would be staring at about 7 billion pictures of Rep. Paul Ryan.
Paul Ryan! His budget was just so fresh and bold…and courageous! It takes quite a maverick to poo poo all over America’s youth as they cry about “just wanting a decent education”…or something. And the olds! You would think that no one in the House Republican caucus had any elderly constituents the way they heaped praise upon Ryan for saying he will bravely end Medicare – no wait, let’s be fair, it would still be called Medicare, so technically nothing has changed – into coupons. Meanwhile, Bush tax cuts for all! (Obviously.) Hey, whatever – just look at those baby blues!
But look! Chris Wallace – one of his minions – has come to kiss the birthday ring! And he’s brought a cake with an enormous…dollar sign?? As Mediaite correctly points out, Paul Ryan was terrified. Comedy thanks you, Chris Wallace. The awkwardness, via Media Matters:
